Building campaigns with AI#
Note
Campaign building and editing with the agent is in Early access, available to selected customers today. Ask your Customer Success Manager to join.
The agent builds and changes campaigns through the same campaign settings and Editor you use yourself. It builds campaigns in test mode, where you can review them exactly as customers will and run test purchases, shows every change as a preview, and leaves the launch to you. The same capabilities are available from your own agent over MCP.
Create a campaign#
Ask for a campaign from a preset or a clone of an existing one. The agent creates it in test mode with the name, rewards, placements, audience, and schedule you describe, and returns a link to it.
“Create a Standalone campaign with a $20 advocate reward and a 15% friend coupon, for desktop and mobile.”
“Clone the Spring Sale campaign as Summer Sale, move the dates to July, and replace the hero image with the one I attached.”
Rewards and placements#
Add or change incentives, including the reward type, amount, and qualification criteria such as a minimum order value. Change where a campaign shows: device, URL rules, appearance, and the event that triggers it. Placements act on the live site and are always previewed first. See Placements.
“Raise the advocate reward in the Summer Sale campaign to $25 for orders over $100.”
“Show the Summer Sale campaign’s Floating Widget on mobile only.”
Copy, templates, and emails#
Change any copy or configuration value in the Editor, edit the HTML and CSS of a view, add a view such as an extra reminder email, and create reusable template fragments. HTML and CSS changes are syntax-checked and previewed as a colored diff. Attach a logo or an image and the agent uploads it to your site’s asset library, generate an image from a description, or edit an image you attach.
“Change the share page headline to ‘Give $15, get $15’ and shorten the claim page subheadline.”
“Add a second reminder email three days after the first, using the same design.”
“Use the logo I attached in the header of the share page and the claim page.”
Translate a campaign#
The campaign’s translation tool, built into the Editor, translates the campaign’s copy into the language you choose in one step. It covers the copy values of the campaign’s localization, runs in the background, and can be regenerated. Review the translated copy on the Copy tab and adjust any value before you use it, or ask the agent to adjust it like any other copy.
A/B tests, end to end#
Tell the agent what you want to improve and it proposes variants based on the campaign’s current copy and your goal, for example a shorter headline or a stronger call to action. Choose the variants, and the agent creates the A/B test on that copy, sets the metric to measure, and adds the variants. While the test runs, ask for the results by variant. When you are ready, the agent concludes the test and rolls out the winner. Existing tests can be renamed, remeasured, or extended with new variants. A single variant in a chosen style, shorter, friendlier, more formal, or with more urgency, can also be generated directly in the Editor.
“Propose three variants of the friend claim page headline for an A/B test on friend conversion rate.”
“Set up the test with variants 1 and 3.”
“How is the headline test doing by variant?”
“Conclude the headline test with variant B as the winner.”
Coupon lists#
Create a coupon list with its amount or percentage, expiry, and code prefix, or append single-use codes from a file you attach.
“Add the codes in the attached CSV to the Friend 15% list.”
Test and launch#
Fire a test purchase or event and get a clickable offer URL to see the campaign as a customer. Before launch, ask the agent to confirm that purchases are being tracked and your platform integration is connected. Ask whether a campaign is ready to launch: the agent checks it and returns the link to the launch form, where you launch it.
“Fire a $50 test purchase for the Summer Sale campaign and give me the offer link.”
“Is the Summer Sale campaign ready to launch?”
Wallet passes#
A campaign can carry an Apple Wallet and a Google Wallet pass with the customer’s referral link, rewards, and offers. See Talkable Wallet. The agent configures the pass with the same tools it uses for the rest of the campaign, with a preview before every change.
Pass design. Set the colors, images, the fields on the front and back of the pass, links, and the share message. Attach a logo and it is placed on the pass.
Where the pass is offered. Choose where customers are offered the pass: the share page, the referral dashboard, the claim page, reward emails, or a standalone install page.
Push notifications. Set the text and timing of the pass’s push notifications: the welcome message after install, share and reward reminders with the delay you choose, and updates when a referral is approved.
Publishing. Push the updated design to every installed pass. Customers see the new version without reinstalling.
Pass reporting. Ask for the pass’s reporting: installs, taps on the pass, sales from push notifications, and referrals shared from the pass.
“Update the Refer a Friend campaign’s pass with the new logo and brand colors, offer it on the share page and in reward emails, and show me the preview.”
“Add a welcome notification and a share reminder after three days to the Refer a Friend pass.”
“Publish the updated Refer a Friend pass to installed passes.”
“How many passes were installed last month, and how many sales came from push notifications?”
How changes are applied#
You ask for a change. The agent proposes it and shows the preview: settings before and after, or a diff for templates.
You review the preview and approve it.
The agent applies exactly the previewed changes, nothing else, and records them in Settings Changes under your name.
Campaign content is built and changed in test mode, so you review the campaign as customers will see it before you launch. Placements, A/B tests, coupon lists, site settings, test purchases, and pass publishing apply to your live program and are always previewed. Report exports and generated images return their result in the conversation and change nothing in your program, so they run without a preview. See Permissions and safety.
